Leigh Sachwitz & Design Studio flora&faunavisions invites you to experience the rain drumming hard on the roof, watching through the window seeing dark clouds stacking up in the night sky. As the protecting walls disappear into the moonlight and the thunderstorm reaches its climax we feel naked – but purified by the light.
Insideout is made with dolby surround sound and 6x precisely mapped video projector and some ripe tomatoes. Scottish blood, Berlin heart, this she’s made of; artist, owner and creative director of the internationally renowned Design Studio flora&faunavisions.
Specializing in video design, stage installations, artistic direction and multimedia design for live music, theatre and opera performances, fashion shows and corporate events flora&faunavisions designs for a multitude of international clients including Diesel, Boss, Olympus, Telecom, Tui Cruises and Audemars Piguet.
Her strong artistic believes have led Leigh to collaborate with the Sydney Opera, Berlin Philharmonic, Bregenz Festival, Royal Opera House, ENO, Lithuanian National Opera, San Francisco Opera, Reignwood Theatre Beijing and the Walker Arts Centre. As the creative director of flora&faunavisions she has worked with bands and artists all over the world. 2015 saw her creating the international live content for the German DJ Solomun, during his residency in Ibiza and abroad.
Showcasing her work as an artist, Leigh has supervised the Perspective Playground exhibition, which premiered at Palais de Tokyo in Paris as Artistic Director. Her acclaimed new installation INSIDEOUT has been shown in many countries across Europe.
Artistic expertise, passion for design and her keen sense for aesthetics have awarded Leigh and flora&faunavisions with several design awards like best exhibition design for the Photography Playground exhibition (over 150 000 visitors). Recent publications of her work include Freize Magazine and The Cool Hunter.
In addition to her professional output Leigh is always looking for creative dialog in cultural talks, workshops and as a teacher at BTK University of Art & Design, Berlin.
The sound design was created by the award-winning composer, musician and producer Andi Toma, who is one of the founding members of the breakthrough electronic music collaboration Mouse on Mars.
